CPS HIGH SCHOOL AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Grade Present Policy
9th to 10th
  • Completion of 5 units of credit
  • Passing grades in 3 of 4 ninth grade core courses
  • Unexcused absences affect class grades as follows*:
    • 9-12 absences no grade higher than B
    • 3-17 absences no grade higher than C
    • 8 or more absences no credit granted
10th to 11th
  • Completion of 11 units of credit
  • Passing grades in 3 of 4 tenth grade core courses
  • Unexcused absences affect class grades as follows*:
    • 12 absences no grade higher than B
    • 17 absences no grade higher than C
    • 18 or more absences no credit granted
11th to 12th
  • Completion of 17 units of credit
  • Passing grades in 3 of 4 eleventh grade core courses
  • Unexcused absences affect class grades as follows*:
    • 12 absences no grade higher than B
    • 17 absences no grade higher than C
    • 18 or more absences no credit granted
Graduation
  • Completion of 24/26 units of credit
  • 40 hrs service learning
