Philosophy
Harlan Community Academy High School is committed to the principle that all students can and will learn to their full potential, given a sound academic foundation and every opportunity for maximal achievement. We believe that by also imparting values of self-discipline and direction, social development, emotional stability and self-esteem, our students will be prepared for the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Mission Statement
We will prepare all students for successful post-secondary education and careers by equipping them with the necessary skills, through the use of technology, cooperative grouping, and Smaller Learning Communities, organized around academic rigor, practical application, and forward-thinking ideals, through the implementation of Instructional Development Strategies (IDS).
